Margaret Bouchier, Principal of Working Solutions, is a leading employment mediator, facilitator, trainer and investigator.
My interest in team dynamics and collaborative workplace development originated from my work as operations and production manager with creative teams in the graphic design field throughout the ‘90’s and early 2000’s.
My attendance on a Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (The MII) accredited mediation programme in 2002-2003 struck a chord and, following more focused training in organisational and workplace mediation in 2003-2004, I founded Working Solutions in 2004, a private practice specialising in mediation and associated interventions. Since 2004, Working Solutions has become a trusted provider of interventions to complex and sensitive employment situations, with client organisations including Government Departments (ROI), semi-state bodies, private sector organisations (financial services/information technology/services industries), hospitals, healthcare providers, academic institutions, and voluntary organisations.
In addition to my mediation qualifications – M.MII, Advanced CertEM, MSSc – I continue to develop in related areas of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) system design and policy development to help organisations to build competency and cohesion.
I am an experienced trainer having devised and delivered a broad range of training programmes through Working Solutions – Accredited Mediator Training; Conflict Skills for Managers; Dignity and Respect Training; Teambuilding – and on behalf of other training providers and third level institutions.
Since 2006, I have been actively involved in the development of standards in mediation through my various roles in The Mediators’ Institute of Ireland and The Elder Mediation International Network.
